Haley Joel Osment is back after 10 years of absence and no leading roles. Amazon Studios has released a new clip from their upcoming comedy series, which features Osment, who wasn’t included in the pilot of Alpha House.
Since Secondhand Lions in 2003, he has only really been doing voice work, hence the shock when he was spotted looking so much older than he looked in the Sixth Sense.
The 25 year old actor stars as a reporter who is assigned to work with a congressman who is attempting to improve his image.
“For me, it’s always the quality of the script,” Osment said of the show. “This was a very funny script.
“It’s getting very difficult to get those good independent scripts made these days. A lot of things I worked on in college, we just couldn’t get them made.”
John Goodman, Clark Johnson and Matt Molloy will star in the series alongside Osment, while Bill Murray will have an expletive-filled guest-starring role.
Alpha House was written by Garry Trudeau, and the first three episodes will available on Amazon in the US today (November 15).
