“Halloween” and Michael Myers Announced for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios in Orlando

Film horror series “Halloween” is coming to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando.

“Halloween” and Michael Myers are making an appearance at Halloween Horror Nights 24 at Universal Studios in Orlando this year.

Long a fan favorite of the “slasher” genre, the 1978 John Carpenter film series will provide the theme for the final haunted house to be announced for this year’s haunt event at Universal Orlando.

“My experience watching this film growing up is as vivid now as it was years ago. The team and I are beyond thrilled to bring one of the most iconic horror films and characters to life at Halloween Horror Nights.” said Michael Aiello, Director of Entertainment – Creative Development, Universal Orlando Resort. “Halloween, began what would become the slasher film genre and still represents the genre as its horrific crown jewel. Guests will come face to face with Michael Myers as we recreate the kills committed on the night He came home.”

“Halloween” is the eighth and final haunted house to be announced for Horror Nights but was accidentally leaked a few weeks ago on the film’s official web site and most recently on promotional ticket stand-ups found in Central Florida Publix Supermarkets.

Universal previously detailed seven other haunted houses for Halloween Horror Nights over the past two months including Alien vs Predator, Dracula Untold: Reign of Blood, From Dusk Till Dawn, The Walking Dead, Dollhouse of the Damned, Giggles and Gore Inc and Roanoke Cannibal Colony.

Halloween Horror Nights begins September 19 and runs through November 1 at Universal Studios in Orlando.
