21-year-old singer/songwriter out of South Florida and also a full-time student-athlete at Warner University, Hannah Perez has just dropped her debut single, “Ruined”, a track that follows the story of a relationship of hers that is no longer.

“I have been playing guitar since a very young age and I have always had the deepest love for music; there was something telling me I needed to really pursue it. When I finish up my degree program here soon, I plan on traveling, making more music and possibly having the opportunity to take a certificate course at Berklee College of Music. The music industry has a lot of familiarity with my family thanks to my cousin Phoenix Stone (Sam) who is the CEO of Halogen Entertainment in Los Angeles so it is pretty cool to me, who watched him and listened to him growing up, to see everything coming full circle.” Hannah told PopWrapped.

“I wrote “Ruined” following a relationship I went through, after it ended, that has been really difficult for me to come to terms with. I was sitting in my apartment thinking about how I could possibly express what I wanted to say and what I was going through so I grabbed my guitar, started messing around with some chords and next thing I knew the Notes app in my phone had an entire song in it that I am really proud of.”

“It really goes into depth about how the things I favor and enjoy simply can’t be enjoyed anymore because I think of a specific person; the things we did together, songs we listened to, food we ate, conversations we had and even materialistic things like shoes, snacks, clothing. They’re too difficult to bear.  Personally, I am really inspired by the places I get to travel to, new people I meet every-day, experiences I go through in life- even the hard stuff so I am thankful for the heart-break in a way haha it makes for good music. I try to compare and find similarities in my music to Chelsea Cutler, LANY, Lizzy McAlpine and John Mayer. I don’t like squeezing my music taste into one genre”
