The Harry Potter series ended up being more than novels and movies, with thousands of related items released worldwide. Fans have been spending millions collecting merchandise and the time has now come to mark who’s got the biggest collection of them all. And who’s more suitable than Guinness to do the counting?
Asher Silva Vargas is a 37-year-old lawyer from Mexico and he’s obsessed with Harry Potter. Starting the collection 14 years ago, the fan now owns 3,097 pieces of related products. Recently, it was announced that he’s gone and set a new Guinness World Record for the largest Harry Potter collection. Vargas revealed that collecting the merchandise became more serious, once he realised he needed more than one room to store it all.
It was pretty easy for him to achieve, since the previous one was held by a collection of 807 pieces.
