Construction is well underway at Universal Orlando on the Diagon Alley expansion of the current Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and we’ve got some goodies to share with you from the site.
Earlier this week, a number of aerial photos of the evolving site hit the Internet. WESH Orlando published 22 images last week, some of which are included in the gallery below, and Bob Wadd has been releasing his photos on OrlandoUnited.com over the past few days.
The photos show how the expansion is taking shape with famous Harry Potter landmarks dotting the landscape. Along with the muggle London façade, you get a clear view of Kings Cross train station (where the Hogwarts Express will connect Diagon Alley to the original Harry Potter Wizarding World location) and Gringotts Bank. There are also two shots of the other end of the Hogwart’s Express’ journey – Hogsmeade station (just south of the current Hogsmeade entrance); though how it will eventually look is still being kept under wraps.
Along with the aerial photos, Attractions Magazine has managed to obtain a photo of what appears to be the installation of the Gringotts Bank ride. They posted the following tweet and picture last Friday:

International Business Times confirmed with a spokesperson for the theme park that “the expansion will include a ride based inside Gringotts Bank.” However, they were unable to get a comment on the nature of the attraction.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley is scheduled to open in 2014.
