Harry Potter has had a makeover. Well, the cover of the books has, that is. In efforts to pursue a new generation of Harry Potter readers, J.K. Rowling and Bloomsbury have announced that the much beloved series about wizard Harry Potter will be re-published in paperback format, sporting new covers.
The new Harry Potter covers are modern, and vibrant. The new covers for the first three Harry Potter books, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, were just revealed today reports Hypable.
According to J.K. Rowling’s official Facebook page, the first three novels with the new cover design will be available July 18. The next two novels, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix will be available August 15, 2013. The final two Harry Potter novels, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be available September 26, 2013.
The sketch elements of the new covers are captivating. The new jacket illustrated by Andrew Davidson is definitely appealing, and will catch the eyes of young adult readers.
