It didn’t take long for spit fire, Republican Party lovin’ Elisabeth Hasselbeck to make her way back to TV after she abruptly left her co-hosting duties of ABC’s The View a little over 2 months ago. This time she popped up on what some are calling a better fit for the reality show contestant turned talk show host. Hasselbeck made her debut on Fox & Friends this morning replacing Gretchen Carlson and joining new colleagues Steve Doocy and Brian Kilemeade on the politically driven morning show.
The gig seems to be a perfect fit for Hasselbeck, as she was the lone Republican for quite some time during her time at The View. In a recent interview with the Associated Press she referred to having this job as a dream coming true and went on to say, “I’d almost make the analogy that it’s being called up to play for one of your favorite teams in the major leagues. I am privileged to call myself a team member,” she added, “but I have felt like family there for a long time.”
Hasselbeck, 36 is keeping mum about her quick departure from ABC but did express that she’s glad to be on a show that seems to be a better fit for her. “I’ve had the privilege of having a lot of growth during those 10 years, let’s just say that.” She seems excited to start on a new venture and had nothing but good things to say about her latest gig. Hasselbeck expressed, “You have an entertainment, wake-up show that delivers important information but also meaningful conversation with content that’s able to be viewed by your entire family.”
What do you think? Is Elisabeth a good fit for Fox & Friends or did you enjoy her View?
