The rumor mill is still churning out the possible return of certain characters to the galaxy far far away — an idea made possible through the presence of Force ghosts, as well as the prequel ‘Anthology’ movies to be released. The return of the dark lord himself, Darth Vader, has been one of these recurring thoughts in the Star Wars fandom.
Now it has been reported that Hayden Christensen, who played Vader’s earlier persona Anakin Skywalker and donned the famous suit in Episode III will be returning to his iconic role, but the surprising part of this news is his presence in the yet-untitled Episode VIII, the sequel to the upcoming film The Force Awakens.
Many will ponder what kind of context we may see Christensen, and whether or not it is actually a good thing. However, it is this writer’s opinion that the Chosen One did have great presence in Episode III, although the possibility of him being in the new Rogue One spin-off movie does seem much more likely. But the Force will soon tell us…
