After the success of the first Fifty Shades Of Grey movie, fans are already hyping themselves up for the sequel, and for a time, it looked like they might have had even more of a reason to look forward to it as rumours swirled that Superman star Henry Cavill might be joining the cast.
Chatting with E! while promoting his latest film The Man From U.N.C.LE., Cavill was coy as to whether or not he would be appearing in the next installment, reportedly playing Jack Hyde, boss of Anastasia Steele, but he didn’t exactly dismiss the rumours saying:
“Basically what I can say is I can’t say anything about it right now.”
However, yesterday he told USA Today:
“I’m not in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’ I’m for real. I’m just messing with everyone.”
He also added that he thoroughly enjoyed watching the Internet almost go into melt-down over his rumoured casting declaring:
“I’m going to do something like this again in the future and make a real social experience out of it.”
