Continuing his great week of releasing some very memorable music videos from his new Mandatory Fun album (which you can get from his website), “Weird Al” Yankovic has another hit on his hands with today’s hilarious music video. In it, he tackles Iggy Azalea’s mega-hit “Fancy,”  which has been dominating the charts for weeks.

In the parody, entitled “Handy,” Weird Al plays a handyman who sings about how handy he is, and how there is not a single household maintenance issue he can’t handle. It may not be his most ambitious song, but it certainly is one of his funniest! Weird Al excels at rapping, and I doubt this is the first rap song to use the words “Screw dat” – the difference is Al is actually talking about screwing in some nuts and bolts!

It is a very funny song that doesn’t at all parody Azalea or the message of her song, instead lovingly paying homage to the infectious nature of the song. Weird Al actually traveled to Colorado just to give Azalea a copy of the lyrics, not asking for permission but instead just as professional courtesy.

At our halfway mark for Weird Al week, we have had some solid and very funny videos so far, and “Handy” is definitely one of them! You can view the video below:
