Can’t seem to get enough of Tom Hiddleston? Don’t worry, he is a busy man. The actor has just signed on to star in High-Rise, an adaptation of J.G Ballard’s classic thriller of the same name and has replaced Benedict Cumberbatch as the lead for the upcoming horror flick Crimson Peak.

The brilliant Guillermo Del Torro directs the movie and starring alongside Hiddleston are Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Charlie Hunnam, and Jim Beaver.  Crimson Peak is described as a haunting gothic story in which a young aspiring author (Wasikowska) is “torn between love for her childhood friend (Hunnam) and the temptation of a mysterious outsider (Hiddleston). Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to rural England to a house that breathes, bleeds…and remembers.”

If that doesn’t sound good enough, Del Toro promises that the movie is nothing like what he has done in English. “[It] has moments that are very visceral, physical violence.  You’re in this sort of sedate romance and then there is this brutal moment where you’re like, “Whoa!”  And it has a lot of kinky moments.  The only kinky moment I’ve ever shot is the leg f**k in The Devil’s Backbone. This has a little more kinkiness than that,” the director explains.

What we have seen of the production so far are a few sneaky photos of the set in Kingston, Ontario. The scene re-creates an early, thriving, 1900s streetscape. The movie that will surely have Tumblr go wild, is said be released in October 2015.

In the mean time, rumor has been flying around that Guilermo Del Toro might want to work with Hiddleston again on his upcoming Justice League Dark movie.
