Hilary Duff is returning to television and continuing her streak of taking over the world…or, uh, her comeback. After announcing that she recently signed a new record deal, she has landed herself a new TV series. Younger is Duff’s first TV series since she stared as the titular character in Lizzie McGuire. She has also guest starred on Gossip Girl and other shows. Her new show will also feature Sutton Foster, Debi Mazar, and Miriam Shor.

So far, the show has been given a 12-episode order.

The series, created by Sex and the City‘s Darren Star, will focus around four women. It is based on the novel of the same name by Pamela Redmond Satran.

According to Just Jared, “the show is about a smart ambitious 20-something who welcomes Liza (Foster) to a publishing firm, treats her as a contemporary and makes a concentrated effort to integrate her into her social life, having no idea that Liza is a decade older.”

“Everyone at TV Land is so passionate about this show and working with Darren,” Larry Jones, TV Land president told Daily Mail UK.

Sounds like a good recipe for a comedy! Fingers crossed for Duff and the rest of the cast!
