Homeland’s Damian Lewis is heading to the big screen!
The British actor who has won Golden Globes and Emmy’s for his role on the hit Showtime series, is nearing a deal that will place him on the big screen next to the Aussie beauty, and fellow ginger, Nicole Kidman.
Deadline reports that Nicole will star as Gertrude Bell, “the iconic explorer, writer, archeologist and attaché for the British Empire who is credited with helping to catalyze the formation of the Middle East at the dawn of the 20th century,” and the Queen of the Desert.
Should things pan out, Lewis would play a disgruntled English military officer who engages in a tempestuous affair her during 1913-1915.
The film is scheduled to begin filming this December.
