Horrible Bosses, a film that received mixed reviews across the board, but still managed to rake in over $200m (£134m) worldwide. Plans for a sequel to the 2011 comedy had previously been on hold, with the only news of the film in 2012 being that Seth Gordon was offered the chance to return to direct the second film, which he accepted!
Now, with the director in place, you need cast members, preferably the main protagonists from the first film. Yes, that’s right, all three guys, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis are all in to reprise their roles in the sequel, set to be released in 2014. No news as of yet as to whether Jamie Foxx will feature as he is currently in the ‘negotiation’ stage. The door is being left open for Jennifer Anniston and Kevin Spacey, with the plan to have even more horrible bosses in the film looking likely.
Also returning are Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who will be writing the script for the follow-up!
