As Ted’s quest for love on How I Met Your Mother draws to a close, news for its counterpart, How I Met Your Dad, is starting to heat up. We already know that Greta Gerwig, of No String Attached and Arthur fame, will be the lead on the new show, but today we have been told more about the show. In the same way that HIMYM told the story of Ted and his friends in New York City, things will be the same for Gerwig, portraying Sally, going through the up’s and down’s of adulthood with her close friends in New York City.
One of Sally’s friends is Todd, played by Drew Tarver. He will portray Sally’s best friend and roommate from college who goes on to get married to her bro. Tarver is a performer at Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) in LA. For anyone worried about the new spin off series, they can rest assured now seeing that UCB has produced talents like Adam McKay, Amy Poehler, Horatio Sanz, and Matt Walsh.
