How I Met Your Dad Pilot Officially Ordered By CBS

A few weeks ago, we reported the possibility of a spin off of  popular comedy, How I Met Your Mother, titled How I Met Your Father. It looks like we’re one step closer to seeing that happen. TV Line reported today that CBS has ordered a pilot for How I Met Your Dad. The series will be a similar format to HIMYM, focusing on the female lead telling the story of how she met her children’s father, the network calls it a “kindred spirit.” Writing and producing the series will be HIMYM’s Emily Spivey, Carter Bays, and Craig Thomas with 20th Century Fox.

There have been some theories that McLaren’s pub will feature in the new show, and that the characters could be introduced in the HIMYM finale, but it remains unconfirmed.
