How To Get Away With Murder: 04×02, I’m Not Her

On How To Get Away With Murder, “I’m not her,” Annalise’s psychologist points out a parallel between her and her client, but Annalise isn’t convinced.

In the season opener Annalise let all of her “kids” go including her longest sidekick Bonnie. Where will they all go from here, what is going to happen next? How does Laurel end up in the hospital? We hope that they are going to give us more clues tonight on “I’m Not Her.”

In this episode, we follow 3 different storylines. Annalise with her new case, the kids, and Annalise with her new court mandated therapist.

Let’s start with Annalise’s new case. Remember her cell mate, Jasmine, the prostitute? Well, Annalise surprises her at the jail with the information that she is going to be representing her to get her out of prison. This women is a repeat offender in prostitution and drug addiction, but Annalise will not let that defeat her. It is also Annalise’s first case back, so we know she has got a lot of fight in her. Upon arriving to court, Annalise runs into Bonnie who is now working for the A.D.A’s office. Wonder how she got that job?

Annalise did not get her first motion, but is given the chance to fight for Jasmine in court. Which means she goes back to digging. When Annalise goes through her files, she realizes that Jasmine’s first appearance in court was when she was 18 and 20 but that does not seem correct to Annalise. Upon going back to Jasmine, she was curious about her first appearance in court. Jasmine claims it was when she was 13, which means it was sealed. Annalise just got her green light.

When she goes to get the file unsealed she asks Bonnie for help and Bonnie slams the door in her face. We would have too if we were Bonnie. When Bonnie talks to Frank she mentions this incident and Frank trying to get back in Annalise’s good graces gives her the sealed files. Annalise has her smoking gun and uses this file to win her case. You go girl! But, what about the kids?

The kids have all been released from Annalise’s clutches and are on the prowl. They are put into a pool with all of the other law students competing for internships. It seems that the most competitive students are Michaela and Asher. As if we would have guessed any different.

After the kids go on their interviews there is a call back round for firms that are considering them. Michaela and Asher receive call backs to a firm named Caplan and Gold. At their call back Asher gets into it with their rival Simon. Wonder who is going to get the spot?

Back at the psychologist’s office, Annalise is telling him about the case she is trying but does not mention anything about herself. He is getting frustrated with her and is trying to get her to stop deflecting. Annalise gets angry because she does not feel like she knows him well enough to share with him. He finally tries something and opens up to her. She says that the last time a therapist opened up to her, she ended up marrying him.

Cut to all of the kids at the bar. Laurel arrives and is frantic to find out who got the Caplan and Gold internship. When Michaela tells her she got it, Laurel confides in her and tells her that Caplan and Gold defends her father. Laurel also shares that her father killed Wes, and that she is going to take him down.

Well there is a plot twist! We can’t wait to see this! We are guessing this has to do when Laurel’s trip to the hospital and the missing baby. How To Get Away With Murder is always a slow burn that we can’t wait to get to the end of!
