A few weeks ago, we reported about AMC’s new series Turn, based on Alexander Rose’s book Washington’s Spies, and now we have some news about the cast.
Ian Kahn, who we have previously seen in Shameless, Bones, Parenthood, Suits and Castle, has been cast as George Washington.
Turn follows Abe Woodhull (played by Jamie Bell), a farmer living in British-occupied Long Island, who gets together with a group of childhood friends to form the Culper Ring, America’s first spy group, and help Washington turn the tide during the American Revolutionary War.
Also starring are Heather Lind, Daniel Henshall, Torchwood star Burn Gorman and Angus Macfadyen.
The series is produced by Barry Josephson and Craig Silverstein, with Silverstein (who also worked on CW series Nikita) serving as showrunner.
The first promo for the series aired during an episode of The Walking Dead last month.
Turn premieres on April 6 at 9pm on AMC.
