Inter Milan and Zytara Labs Announce $100M Multi-Year Partnership Making DigitalBits the Official Global Crypto of Club

Zytara Labs announced another major partnership with FC Internazionale Milano for $100M, making XDB token the official crypto of Inter Milan.

On Thursday, FC Internazionale Milano, or Inter Milan outside Italy, announced a $100 million multi-year product partnership agreement with Zytara Labs, with support from DigitalBits Foundation.

This announcement excitingly comes after July’s announcement where Italy’s largest football club, AS Roma became the world’s first major professional football organization to broadly embrace blockchain technology, securing a 3-year exclusive product partnership with Zytara Labs, valued at $42 million, also with the support from the DigitalBits Foundation.

CoinDesk described this partnership as one of the “most notable sponsorship deals between a soccer club and blockchain firm to date.”

In commemoration of that partnership, AS Roma would be integrating DigitalBits’ native XDB token as a new purchasing method, allowing AS Roma fans to interact with the club in blockchain-based shared virtual world, and rewarding fans in possession of the teams digital assets, NFTs, and XDB tokens access to new live experiences.

Zytara Labs’ newest partnership with Inter will support the football club’s move to open up to an audience that is increasingly digital, to reach global targets and different age groups, and establish itself as an icon of culture, innovation, and sport.

Specifically, DigitalBits will become the “Official Global Cryptocurrency” for Inter, while Zytara becomes the “Official Global Digital Banking Partner” for the football club. In combining innovation and finance, Inter Milan continues its mission in embodying the value of the city of Milan, international spirit, and the predilection for innovation and continuous change.

We are proud to welcome Zytara as our new global partner and for Inter to officially join the DigitalBits ecosystem, who will also become our new sleeve sponsor,” said Alessandro Antonello, Corporate CEO of Inter in an interview with PopWrapped.

“This agreement reflects Inter’s commitment to set the global standard for technological excellence. While digital-first experiences are vital for all sport clubs, our partnership aims higher. By leveraging Zytara digital banking and blockchain technology we will be able to enhance our global reach towards younger and digital savvy audiences.”

In commemoration of the new partnership, Inter’s first cryptocurrency purchase experience with Digital Bits’ native XDB token will be a limited edition of Nerazzurri merchandise, which will be made available by the end of September, according to the company.

This partnership with Inter, much like their heritage, is focused on excellence,” says Zytara Labs and DigitalBits founder Al Burgio. “Our collaboration will position Inter as one of the most technologically advanced and forward-thinking clubs in the world. We’re thrilled to partner with the reigning Italian champions and a club with such a rich history.”

Inter’s involvement with the DigitalBits blockchain will also allow for the integration and acceptance of XDB for payments both in stadium and in Inter online stores and physical retail locations across Milan.

Additionally, the DigitalBits brand will become the new sleeve partner of the Nerazzurri, with the cryptocurrency’s logo appearing on all Inter jerseys for both the Men’s and Women’s First Team, as well as the Primavera and Youth Teams during all official domestic and international matches.

As for Zytara’s involvement, the company will work together with Inter to further develop the Inter mobile app, currently available in the Apple App Store and Google Play store.

In its efforts of enabling users globally to subscribe for banking services and seamlessly logging into their Zytara account directly from within the app, the Inter App will become the primary way to purchase tickets to all Inter home game matches, making the app the new entry point to connect for Inter fans globally.
