It has been hinted by MTV that Beyoncé will be performing at this year’s VMAs after a new post by MTV set off rumors of an appearance. The well-known music channel and soda company Pepsi has joined together to give a chance to win VIP passes for an exclusive performance at the Barclays Center through a Twitter fan contest.
Although, the contest message did not establish who would be performing, MTV did post later in the day a photo of a VMA trophy situated on a ‘The Mrs. Carter Show’ chair, leading fans to believe a performance from the “Single Ladies” singer could be possible. The subtitle for the picture reads “Hey Mrs. Carter! Creeped backstage at @Beyoncé’s @BarclaysCenter show for a sneak preview of the #VMA location!”
Some of the artists already scheduled to perform at this year’s event include Lady Gaga and Kayne West. The MTV VMA awards air August 25th.
