Is Kevin Spacey A One-Man Show?

It’s been a long time coming for oscar winner Kevin Spacey, who will be doing his own one man show at the Old Vic Theater in London. The House Of Cards star will have a one man show to commemorate his 10 year stint as the artistic director of the venue. Spacey will star in the play Clarence Darrow, which tells the story of a 19th century lawyer.

Previews of his one man show will begin on May 28th, is is set to be directed by Call of The Midwife’s Thea Sharrock. Spacey stated that he was “thrilled” to be going back to the stage of the “very special theatre”. Spacey played the role of Darrow 22 years ago in the film adaption for PBS.

The Old Vic’s summer and fall season will be featuring Kristin Scott Thomas in a new version of the greek story Electra. Yael Farber will direct a new version of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible. Spacey added: “I know our audience will be excited by this program and I can’t wait to be back on stage myself.” Spacey also intends to step down as artistic director in 2015.
