Is Stan Lee On The Hunt For The Next Comic Book Writing Legend?

NULL

Instead of filming his cameo in the upcoming X-Men sequel, Stan Lee took a little time last week to speak to fans at the Toronto Fan Expo. Is the comic book king making a move to the small screen?

The man who brought the Marvel universe to life in the 1950s and 1960s is developing a new television series. The show won’t feature a new superhero saving the world, but it could find the next person that could create the next big superhero. Lee told audience members that the reality competition will try and find the best superhero artist and writer out there.

Lee compares the upcoming show to the likes of Fox’s American Idol. “It will be like American Idol, where we eliminate people every week, which I hate to do, until we find the greatest people.”  However, don’t expect him to be on the judging panel. Maybe the show will find another legend.

Aside from a new reality show, the X-Men creator spilled a little about the upcoming superhero he recently created – The Annihilator is set to make its debut next year. No actual details on The Annihilator’s superpowers, but “you better watch out for him cause he annihilates,” Lee teased.

Stan Lee has been such a huge part of pop culture for decades and he still continues to do big things and shows no sign of slowing down. Are you excited for his new projects?
