Jack Bauer is alive and kicking according to 24 shower runner Howard Gordon. The new limited series titled Live Another Day will beginning shooting in January and is scheduled to hit the airwaves in April, according to pop culture site Assignment X.
Regarding the 12-episode run, Gordon said, “The story will be 12 hours over a day, but we’ll take advantage of the fact that we can go from seven o’clock to nine o’clock.”
While speaking with the site, Gordon also confirming that Kiefer Sutherland is currently the only cast member on board for the new show but said that he “absolutely hope[s]” Mary Lynn Rajskub will return as fan favorite Chloe O’Brian.
“As a fan, I absolutely hope [she comes back],” says Gordon about O’Brian. “The truth is we’re at the beginning of the process. Things aren’t written in stone yet, so we’re not sure.”
Sutherland will reprise his role as Jack Bauer, the counter terrorist agent on the new series, where Rajskub has previously that she has “high hopes” of returning as well.
