Looks like Jack Black is seriously looking into being in the Goosebumps film! According to The Wrap, Jack Black is in fact in line to be in the film, which is based upon the R.L Stine book series. It’s also been said that Rob Letterman is set to direct the film in question.
It’s not so widely known that the Goosebumps book series is actually the second most successful book series, coming up behind the Harry Potter books. Goosebumps has had 175 books published and well over 300 million dollars in sales. At the current moment, it is unknown which of the books in the series is going to be turned into a film.
Both Jack Black & Rob Letterman have worked together in two films, Shark Tale & Gulliver’s Travels. This Goosebumps film is being produced by Neal H. Moritz & Deborah Forte, which will include a script from Larry Karaszewski & Scott Alexander, who is well remembered for the film 1408.
