Remember Britney Spears’ younger sister, Jamie Lynn? If her name doesn’t jog your memory, you may have heard her voice on the song “Chillin’ With You,” on Brit-Brit’s last album.
On Tuesday, the singer announced that she was going to release her first country EP, The Journey, on May 27. She also posted four teasers of her songs (which sound like Taylor Swift ones) under the hashtag #JLSTheJourney on her Instagram account.
Jamie’s first EP is produced by Corey Crowder and features songwriters such as Chris Tompkins (Before He Cheats, Carrie Underwood), Liz Rose (White Horse, You Belong With Me, Taylor Swift), and Rivers Rutherford (Real Good Man, Tim McGraw). In a recent interview with News 13 Now, she revealed that it took her six years to complete her album and that she had co-written all of her songs.
The tracklist is as follows:
1. Shotgun Wedding
2. Run
3. How Could I Want More (released as a 1st single in November 2013)
4. Mandolin Summer Sun
5. Big Bad World
