First Karen Gillan, and now James Marsters. You’ve convinced me, HBO. You’ve hauled me onto The Devil You Know’s bandwagon.
This Buffy alum is set to guest star in the highly anticipated Salem Witch Trials-based drama The Devil You Know. Marsters will portray Reverend George Burroughs, who’s bound to detest the ladies put on trial.
The character seems to be the negative one of the bunch and is not likely to appear further than the pilot. My fingers are crossed for James Marsters being promoted to a series regular. I need more Marsters in my life. A one-off Supernatural episode was not enough!
James Marsters is most well-known for his phenomenal portrayal of the sassy vampire with a soul (Buffy’s rival-turned-soul-mate…yes Spuffy forever! I will fight you on this, go read the comics) Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel season 5. Marsters has since then guest starred on several TV shows, started his own Spike comic, and worked on his music.
Can we please, please have more of this talented man in The Devil You Know? Granted, the pilot has yet to air, but I’m more than confident that the series will do well.
