Most people know Jamie Foxx thanks to his massive acting career, but in case you forgot, he’s a singer as well. The multi-talented artist is currently preparing to make a comeback in music and has now dropped his comeback single, titled “You Changed Me”.
Jamie Foxx joined his forces with Chris Brown to craft his new single, as the troubled R&B star is featured on it. “You Changed Me” serves as an slow-burning urban lovesong, with a slight soulful appeal and the required beats on top of the sweet melody. In terms of lyrics, it’s an ode to a special lady, that works more as an intimate declaration of love and a confession, rather than a sensual compliment or a sexual invitation. If anything though, it’s not an instant hit, but it does have the potential to end up being a grower instead.
Most probably, there is a full-length studio album on the way from Jamie Foxx and “You Changed Me” is only the lead single, marking as the beginning of the era. If a record is actually on the way, it is going to be the artist’s fifth one and the first since 2010′s Best Night Of My Life. More news about his next steps in music are expected shortly.
