Looks like there is a new star in town! Or on the walk of fame, I should say. To whom it was given to was none other than the multi-talented Jane Lynch.

The Glee actress was honored this afternoon with star number 2,505 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in which she rightfully took her spot among many other extraordinary and legendary artists before her.

Lynch received her star on the Walk of Fame in the category of television, most prominently known for her role as Sue Sylvester on the Emmy Award Winning show Glee.

The shows creator and founder, Ryan Murphy, was there to celebrate along with her. Ryan tweeted earlier before the ceremony, “Jane gets her star! And I couldn’t be more proud!”

Not only was Ryan there, but also many fans of Lynch’s work were there to support her through this historic moment.

“Jane was amazing going up there; thanking fans and cast members that she has ever had the pleasure of working with for all the support throughout the years. It was great to finally meet her in person – she is an amazing woman,” a fan said.

Ryan Murphy also had a couple of words to say about Lynch.

“She is the hardest-working person on the set; she makes everybody better and everybody happier. She is one of the comedy greats in our business – a true class act.”

After the ceremony, Lynch stayed to give interviews to the press and sign autographs for fans whom were there to witness her special day.

Congrats, Jane! The Gleeks are proud of you and shall always be here to support you, even if Sue Sylvester threatens to destroy us from the inside.
