The neighbour and husband in the demonic novel Rosemary’s Baby have been cast for its NBC miniseries adaptation.
Patrick J Adams, star of Suits is set to play the husband of pregnant Rosemary (already confirmed to be played by Zoe Saldana, of Star Trek fame) and Jason Isaacs (Awake) has been cast as the neighbour of the young couple.
The adaptation is taking the story to Paris where mother-to- be Rosemary and
husband move into their new apartment. What they don’t know is that it has a dark history. As more time is spent in the apartment, Rosemary grows ever increasingly suspicious of both her husband and neighbour, suspecting that they have ‘dastardly designs’ on her unborn child.
The 4 hour long project has been co-written by Scott Abbott (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge) and James Wong (American Horror Story) and will be directed by Agnieszka Holland (Treme). Star Saldana is also set to co-executive-produce the miniseries with Lionsgate Television and a team including Joshua Maurer of Rubicon.
