Jeleel’s Addicting Project, “Generation Z!”

Jeleel’s Addicting Project, “Generation Z!”

Los Angeles based artist, Jeleel is changing out perception of rap and pop music through finding his own sound. Best described as infectious energy, combined with genre- defying sounds — that is how Jeleel is best portrayed.

Though his main focus growing up was sports, music has always been an important part of his life. He began his musical journey in 2015 while he was also furthering his education at college. Taking his love for music and stemming from what is noted at his own creative, unique, energy, he takes influence from many legends in his genre. DMX, Kid Cudi, Sum 41, and Buju Banton to name a few.

Despite not getting quite the recognition that we all deserve he needs to receive, he is insanely talent, driven, and is on the path to greatness, making a name for himself and not planning on slowing down anytime soon. Jeleel’s addictive voice, combined with his producers heart thumping beats, & driven attitude make following his journey just that much more exciting.

Being in Los Angeles, Jeleel’s addictive energy with his unique sound allowed him to quickly gravitate (& connect) with many creatives and producers who wanted to help him bring his dream and his music to life. Additionally, Jeleel has released a number of singles and videos independently and through ‘No Jumper’. Noting, his latest album, “Angel From Heaven” is a collection of stunning work that helped build and infrastructure for his vision.

No doubt, all of those tracks carry their own weight, but also help you grab an idea of Jeleel as not only an artist but as a person as well.

Mercy, a beautiful track that is centered around “Black Lives Matter” and the social and systematic injustices we’re facing as a country is the most recent of his music videos. Mercy not only follows the injustices we’re facing but also has footage of real life protesting that thousands have participated in support of not only our black brothers and sisters, but the issues that they face and the changes that our country so desperately needs.

No doubt, the hard times we are living in are showing no signs of slowing down. Living in these uncertain times, we tend to turn to the things we love to give us reassurance that we will, in fact, get through this and we will live to see those brighter days that we are fighting so hard to see. As Jeleel’s follow up project to ‘Angel from Heaven’, Jeleel returns with his unique genre-fluid sound but more confined around the emotions of today; rage, uncertainty, and yearning for positivity.

Staying true to his goal of always spreading love and positivity through his music, ‘Generation Z!’ aims to provide a sonic assimilation to the new generation while complimenting and/or balancing the whirlwind of emotions that exist within all of us. Jeleel strives to put hard-work, love, and positivity into everything he does & that shines through in this project. Though we all love music & it helps us to be able to put our thoughts into words, it’s artists like Jeleel that have a damn beautiful way of doing so. Additional to putting our words into songs, he stays true to his spirit, artistry, and energy. & he does it addictively.

It’s no secret that Jeleel’s Addicting Project, “Generation Z!” gives us a little bit of hope, faith, and improves our drive to fight, stand, and empower the people around us and the people that need OUR help. Jeleel’s “Generation Z!” is out now on all major music streaming platforms.
