Jennifer Lawrence’s continuing popularity could mean a solo film for her X-Men persona, Mystique. Producers of the latest X-Men film, Days of Future Past, revealed that Fox studios are in the planning stages for more X-men related films, and Mystique may be joining Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine as a solo film character.
Producer/writer Simon Kinberg told EW, “I love what Jen Lawrence has done with her, and I feel like because she is in such a crowded ensemble, there’s so much more opportunity if you were to follow her solo.”
Solo features could also be on the way for fandom faves such as Gambit and Deadpool.
In the meantime, fans can enjoy the whole mutant crew on the big screen together in X-Men: Days of Future Past in theaters May 23rd, 2014.
