It’s official there is one actress who has dominated domestic movie sales. In fact, she’s given the movie industry a record-breaking year. Who is it? None other than Jennifer Lawrence.
Yes, the Hunger Games’ “Girl on Fire” just got a little bit hotter. Through 2013, Jennifer Lawrence has been steaming up box offices with blockbuster hits like American Hustle and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
According to the annual Quigley Publishing Company poll for motion picture theater owners and film buyers, Lawrence was voted into the top spot. In second place came Gravity star, Sandra Bullock. Rounding out the top three spot was Bradley Cooper (who stars with Lawrence in American Hustle).
Because of her versatility, Variety dubbed Lawrence one of the most influential people of 2013.
Last year, the actress won first place in Quigley’s Stars of Tomorrow. Never before has a star jumped from winning that poll to winning their top money-maker poll in one year. But, she did it! For 2013, Amy Adams and James Franco got first and second place in Stars of Tomorrow. Will they become top money-makers in 2013?
