The Jennifer Lawrence and David O. Russell magic is not over yet, as the dynamic duo may team up once again for a new film.
According to Deadline.com, Russell is in talks to rewrite and direct a movie about Joy Mangano, the Long Island single mother of three who invented the Miracle Mop and became known as the “mother of invention” after selling her mop-making enterprise, Ingenious Designs, in a deal with HSN. Mangano also developed “Huggable Hangers” and was ranked by Fast Company as one of its “100 Most Creative People in Business” as well as one of the “10 Most Creative Women in Business.”
Lawrence would play Mangano in the film currently written by Annie Mumolo (co-writter of Bridesmaids with Kristen Wiig) and produced by John Davis and John Fox via Fox-based Davis Enteratinment.
This would be the third time Russell and Lawrence work together after Silver Linings Playbook (for which Lawrence won an Oscar for Best Actress last year) and American Hustle (currently with 10 Oscar nominations including Best Supporting Actress for Jennifer Lawrence, Best Director and Best Picture). However, the future of this third project is still unclear.
Jennifer Lawrence has two more films of The Hunger Games to go as well as her reprise as Mystique in X-Men: Days of Future Past, set for release on may 23rd.
