Jennifer Lopez Stars In First Trailer For Thriller ‘The Boy Next Door’

Jennifer Lopez stars in forthcoming psychological thriller The Boy Next Door, and the very first trailer has now been released.

J-Lo plays a divorced teacher who is charmed by the boy next door, a friend of her son’s. The affair goes as far as to threaten her family and job, but she seems unable to put an end to it, due to the young man’s interest turning into a sick and paranoid obsession. He ends up being a stalker and refuses to let her go no matter what happens, which causes things to get dangerous.

The movie’s script was written by Barbara Curry, while the direction credits are given to Rob Cohen, of The Fast And The Furious fame. Apart from Lopez, it also stars Ryan Guzman, John Corbett, and Kristin Chenoweth.

The film serves as a great return for Jen in her acting career, as she has been mostly busy with music lately. Currently, she is out there promoting her latest single, “Booty”, which is the third official one to be lifted from her latest studio album, A.K.A., and recently got an Iggy Azalea revamp.

The Boy Next Door is scheduled to come out in theaters in the United States on January 23, 2015, while international release dates have yet to be announced.
