Jessica Chastain Ties The Knot In Italy

Jessica Chastain is now a married women. On Saturday, the actress married her Italian boyfriend Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo after five years of dating.

Chastain met Luca in 2012 while he was working as Director of Public Relations for Armani. Luca is also the co-founder of Prosecco wine company, FIOL. And fun fact, Jessica Chastain is now part of Italian royalty. Luca is an Italian count whose aristocratic family dates back almost a thousand years in Treviso.

The wedding took place in his home country of Italy. The Italian villa, Tiepolo Passi in Carbonera, where the wedding took place has been in the Passi de Preposulo family since the 1800s. The property features Italian-style gardens decorated with beautiful fountains and statues. The family has lived in estate for generations and it even produces its own bubbly called Prosecco di Villa Tiepolo Passi. 

The couple has mainly kept their relationship private over the years, however Chastain once told W Magazine in 2015, “He’s a gentleman. And that’s very important to me. He’s from an old-school Italian family. No one in his family has ever been divorced!”

According to E! sources, most of Chastain’s guests were close friends while Luca’s huge family attended. Jessica’s Wilde Salomé co-star Al Pacino is rumoured to have walked her down the aisle since her estranged father Michael Monasterio passed away in 2013.

The wedding also served as a mini-The Devil Wears Prada reunion. Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway were spotted laughing and smiling as they heading to the ceremony together. Hathaway and Chastain met on the 2013 set of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar and also appeared in the documentaries Letters to Jackie: Remembering President Kennedy and The First Monday in May. While Blunt, appeared with Chastian in 2016’s The Huntsman: Winter’s War.
