The former Pussycat Doll teamed up with New Orleans native Rico Love, who provides backing vocals and also lends his rapping skills to the sweet-sounding hip-hop/R&B track. The songstress’ vocals are powerful from the very first note, blending well with the visual aspect, directed by Jose Omar.
The video stars a beautiful little girl who takes it upon herself to perform various acts of kindness, despite the difficulties she faces in her personal life.
Especially given recent Supreme Court decisions that have brought many people to a new realm of happiness, the message behind this song, that love and kindness go a long way, resonates as deeply as ever.
