Monday night saw former University of Nebraska-Lincoln pole vaulter Jessie Graff take on one of the most difficult obstacle courses ever broadcast on television, as she competed in the latest series of American Ninja Warrior.
Graff was the first woman in the shows’ history to make it past the qualifying round back in 2013, and, as she ran the course dressed in a chicken suit, delighting the thousands of fans who had seen her Live Action Chicken Fight video on YouTube.
She was absent from competition in 2014 due to injury and despite having worked as a stunt-woman on some of Hollywood’s biggest films including X-Men: First Class and The Dark Knight, Monday night saw her ultimately fail to complete the course; however, she still earned a spot in the Las Vegas final. She wasn’t the only one who struggled however, with the majority of her competitors falling short at the Hourglass Drop.
Should she win in Las Vegas, Graff will walk away with a prize of $1 million dollars.
