During the recording sessions for her sophomore studio album Tough Love, Jessie Ware recorded a track titled “Meet Me In The Middle”. Even though the song failed to make the cut, it is included in the soundtrack for Fifty Shades Of Grey and it now has a promotional clip to go by.
The good news is that the track is being appreciated enough to get an accompanying video. Well, the bad news is that the clip is nothing more than a promotional one for Fifty Shades Of Grey. Jessie Ware herself is nowhere to be seen in it, as it’s only a compilation of scenes from the film. Most probably, it serves as a teaser, with all the revealed scenes from the trailers playing for 5 minutes and the same ones showing more than once. If anything, “Meet Me In The Middle” totally deserved something better, didn’t it?
Jessie Ware was about to scrap “Meet Me In The Middle” for good, when interest was shown for it to be in the Fifty Shades Of Grey soundtrack. Thankfully, the movie paved the way for it to come to light at least. The film’s soundtrack also includes track from the likes of Beyoncé, The Weeknd, Sia, Ellie Goulding and Skylar Grey among others.
