Jimi Jamison’s manager has confirmed that the lead singer of the rock band Survivor passed away on August 31st after experiencing a heart-attack. He accomplished a lot in his 63 years and his creative work is admired all over the world.
His rather well-known work includes the theme-song for Baywatch; “I’m Always Here;” “The Moment of Truth” from The Karate Kid and “Burning Heart” from Rocky IV. He joined Survivor after their previous lead singer was asked to leave the band, recording three full-length albums with the band. The band then split up, re-joined with the old lead singer in 1993 and then in 2000 with Jamison, again until 2006.
The band had performed on August 30th and was bound to go on tour on September 12th. For now, they have not yet stated anything about the tour, but this on their Twitter:
Survivor is very shocked & saddened by the passing of our brother Jimi Jamison. Our thoughts, love & prayers go out to his friends & family.

and on Facebook:
Our thoughts are with Jamison’s bandmates, friends and family at this point and hope they are doing well! RIP.
