Do you remember watching a woman named “Caitlin” catch on fire while she was making a twerking video for YouTube? This footage was shown on multiple shows including The Talk, The View and Today.
Well, if you are one of the 10,000,000 people that watched that video…you were duped! Late night host Jimmy Kimmel revealed that he was mastermind behind the whole video.
On his Monday show, Kimmel confessed that “Caitlin” was an actual stuntwoman named Daphne Avalon. The Jimmy Kimmel Live host entered the picture with a fire extinguisher during the Director’s Cut video and saved her from receiving numerous burns.
Avalon stated that she was sworn to secrecy and received multiple messages over Facebook about her safety. However, Kimmel ended the video by telling her: “Well, thank you for helping us deceive the world and hopefully put an end to twerking forever.”
