Rumors Fly After J.K. Rowling Is Spotted In A Bar

Rumors went wild after Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling, was spotted in a UK pub. Was it just a drink, or something more exciting? Read on!

A lot is happening in the HP universe right now. All through this year, fans on Pottermore have gotten Rita Skeeter articles (written by J.K. Rowling), confirmation that there will be not one, but three movies, made about Newt Skamander’s book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and that they will be released every 2 years starting in 2016. Earlier this month, Ms. Rowling even played riddle games with her fans via Twitter.

Of course, excitement was high. Fans deserve to be jubilant. However, this activity has caused rumors to fly. Some fans, when spotting the author at a pub, thought she had delivered a new (romantic) manuscript to her publisher, and thus bought herself a drink to celebrate.

Rowling was quick to defuse these stories. No, she was not delivering a manuscript. She did reveal she has a half-finished book in the words, but claims it is not a romance. Why she was there was just to have a drink. Nothing more – nothing less. As Rowling Tweeted, “(brace yourselves) I sometimes have a drink even when I haven’t finished a book. Yes, that’s how rock and roll I really am.

What do you think her new novel will be? What do you hope Rowling will bring to her publisher? Sound off below!
