The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner has revealed the official cause of death of Joan Rivers.
During the throat procedure, Joan went into pulmonary arrest which cut off the flow of oxygen to her brain. She was sedated with Propofol, and the reasoning behind her undergoing the procedure was to evaluate changes to her voice as well as deal with acid reflux. She also suffered brain damage due to the lack of oxygen.
Joan was 81 years old.
Still can’t believe the legendary comedienne is really gone… RIP Joan.
