Even at 53 years old and with a full-time acting schedule, John Stamos is still stealing hearts and proving to be tough competition for guys everywhere.
According to a story by Entertainment Tonight, Stamos and his Grandfathered co-star, Josh Peck, recently made their annual holiday visit to Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
While there, they met a patient named Amanda, who had recently been dumped by her boyfriend. Just for laughs, Stamos decided to give the young man a call. “John, are you calling the ex-boyfriend?” asked the now 30-year old Josh Peck, according to People. “This will go well. This is definitely going to go well.”
Stamos dialed Amanda’s phone while Peck and Amanda looked on with smiles. “At first, Amanda’s ex, Jorge, doesn’t pick up,” wrote Entertainment Tonight reporter Jackie Willis, “so Stamos decides to leave a voicemail.”
In the message, the actor playfully scolded Jorge about breaking Amanda’s heart just before the holidays and gave him an earful about what he’s been missing. “I’m with Amanda, my new girlfriend,” he said in the voicemail. “Apparently you guys broke up and I swooped right in. So, your loss, Jorge, because Amanda is a great gal.”
As Amanda laughed, Jorge called back. He decided to speak to him directly. “We heard you broke up with Amanda so we got our asses down to the hospital and now we’re all dating and we don’t need you, Jorge,” joked the Full House star, “I think you made a big mistake.” He then added, in typical Stamos fashion, “But it’s nice to meet you, pal,” before hanging up.
Even at 53 years old, it seems that John Stamos hasn’t lost his heartthrob status, his kind demeanor or his sense of humor. As for Jorge, he may or may not regret his decision, but he is sure to remember this experience!
