Jon Stewart Does It Again! Recent Daily Show Video Pokes Fun At Senator Mitch McConnell

Jon Stewart just loves to make fun of Senator Mitch McConnell, so if he sees an opportunity to turn a political campaign into a social media mashup challenge, he will!

In Thursday night’s episode, the last episode before a one week hiatus, The Daily Show host talked about a recently released campaign video for McConnell, which sees the senator doing some work, talking to some people and giving some very creepy/seductive smiles to the audience, all without words and backed up only by a soft background music. Obviously, it was too good to resist, so The Daily Show‘s staff spent the morning looking for funny songs to add to the clip before asking the audience to do the same during the one week hiatus.

“Here’s the secret: it works with every song that has “eyes” in it,” Stewart said after showing a version of “Look Into My Eyes” by Bryan Adams and before going all 1970s on the senator with “Behind Blue Eyes” by The Who.

Twitter’s #McConnelling hashtag is full of brilliant renditions, so be sure to have a look!
