On April 2, the Disney oriented boy band, the Jonas Brothers released their first single since their 2010 album, Lines, Vines, and Trying Times. The single, “Pom Poms,” which oozed their signature cookie cutter pop sound, peaked at #60 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Now, the boys’ new single, “First Time” which is set to be officially released on June 25, was leaked on the internet on Wednesday (June 12). The song gives off a more mature feel than the first single off their fifth studio album, and should appeal to a broader audience. Listen to it here:
Nick, the youngest of the three brothers, recently said that the band’s new album will combine traditional influences as well as more modern ones.
“It’s definitely a growth,” he stated. “We’re trying to infuse classic influences with some of the more modern influences. We want to put on a great show for our fans.”
The release date of their fifth album is supposed to be announced on June 17, so stay tuned for that.
