It isn’t looking so great, JoBros fans.
In addition to the trio abruptly canceling their tour last week, Entertainment Weekly reports that their joint Twitter handle, @JonasBrothers, was deleted on Thursday.
The tour cancellation came just two days before the brothers were scheduled to begin the first of their nineteen dates across North America. According to People, their spokesman Jesse Deris said that there was a deep rift within the band about their musical direction.
Nick, Kevin, and Joe, however, have remained silent throughout these events. Although their individual Twitter accounts are still active, none of them have tweeted since before the tour was officially axed.
Everyone may just be jumping to conclusions here, but social media is a huge part of artist communication with fans and the rest of the world nowadays.
A seemingly simple move like deactivating their joint account may actually be a silent message to the world—this might be the official end of the JoBros.
Sources have told People magazine that, “[The brothers] are not getting along at all. It’s uglier than you think” and “They are moving forward away from the Jonas Brothers. I think is the beginning of the end,” adding fuel to the fire of speculation.
Hopefully the next step will be an official statement from the main players themselves.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
