Jonas Brothers Officially Call It Quits

Earlier this month, we here at PopWrapped brought you the news that the Jonas Brothers had abruptly cancelled their tour on October 9th, two days before the tour was set to begin. The band’s official Twitter account was shut down last week, which is what unofficially signaled that this was the end of the JoBros. However, they did ask fans to “hold [on] while we get our shit together”.

According to an interview with People, the decision to split up was unanimous. On October 3, the band held a meeting where Nick voiced his concerns to the band, saying, “I was feeling kind of trapped and I needed to voice my concerns to my brothers.”

The band’s one-time tour mate Bonnie McKee told MTV News less than a week ago: “Not all is lost and I hope that the Jonas Brothers work it out. I don’t really know exactly what went down, but I know that everyone’s kind of at odds. So I hope that they work it out because I think they’re very talented.”

More information is to be revealed in the boys’ interview with People, which hits newsstands this Friday. They also have an appearance on Good Morning America this Wednesday. Though there’s no current information about whether this will proceed following the news of the split.

The boys have promised that “it’s over for now,” so there is still hope that they might be able to work out their differences.
