Santa Monica, California played host to Josh Brolin earlier this month. The celebrity was caught on videotape having a drunken conversation/argument that ended in a fight at a bar in town.
He was also later that weekend reportedly seen getting into a verbal dispute with a taxi cab driver. This occurred after Brolin had rear-ended the driver at a Del Taco drive-thru.
Us Weekly and TMZ both have reports of Brolin’s admittance for help. An insider told Us Weekly, “He realized he needed help and is committed to his sobriety.” He says that he is “completely done” with his need for excess. The actor/director also claims that he “absolutely” feels terrible about his involvement in these incidents.
This past January, Brolin spent New Years in a jail cell. While this only lasted for six hours, he was charged and committed for public intoxication.
The month following the New Years incident found Brolin splitting from his wife, Diane Lane. The two had been married for six years. The decision to split, the couple claims, was mutual.
