After a tumultuous production schedule, complete with stops and restarts, Jurassic World is in full production and now shopping around the idea of SEQUELS! Yes, the once considered “fourquel” is now taking on a whole story arc of its own.
“We definitely talked about [sequels] a lot,” director Colin Trevorrow told Empire. “We wanted to create something that would be a little bit less arbitrary and episodic, and something that could potentially arc into a series that would feel like a complete story.”
Trevorrow discusses a potential sequel based on Chris Pratt’s character’s best friend, played by Omar Sy. “They work together and have some pretty cool action scenes together. I wanted to create a relationship there that could be memorable and potentially carry on to future films.”
Though we don’t know much about the plot of World, other than a reminiscent trip back to Isla Nublar 22-years later, we couldn’t be happier to take a chopper trip over the rolling Brontosaurus hills again! Be sure to check out the movie that will finally hit theaters June 12, 2015.
