Justice League Action Trailer And Cast Announced

The trailer and full cast list for the upcoming animated series, Justice League Action, was announced at a SDCC panel featuring some of the stars.

DC’s animated universe has catered to the adult crowd lately, with amazing releases such as Doom, The Dark Knight Returns, and the upcoming The Killing Joke being decidedly not for children. It’s been quite some time since DC released an animated property aimed towards a younger crowd, but this will all change when Justice League Action hits the small screen.

The series will see:

Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman lead the DC Comics Super Heroes against their most infamous foes in adventures packed with relentless thrills, fun and action. No need to wait for the good stuff to start, each eleven-minute episode jumps in with lightening paced action and heroics. Whether defending the Earth, facing invaders from space, or battling the bizarre forces of magic, the always-rotating team of Justice League heroes are up to any challenge.

No additional details have been announced, but if the trailer is any indication, fans can expect to see something similar to light natured Batman: The Brave and the Bold, as opposed to the dark toned Batman: The Animated Series. In fact, this trailer makes it look like the action-packed, superhero filled, and fun to watch series most kids (and those who are kids at heart) enjoy watching. Many comic book readers site animated series as their gateway to comics, so it’s awesome to see a series like Justice League Action debuting.

In addition to a fantastic concept, the show boasts an equally as impressive cast. The series will feature Kevin Conroy as Batman, Mark Hammil as the Joker, Patton Oswalt as Space Cabby, Ken Jeong as Toyman, Hannibal Buress as Mr. Terrific, Batman: The Brave and the Bold’s Batman, Diedrich Bader as Booster Gold, James Woods as Lex Luthor, Rachel Kimsey as Wonder Woman, Jason Lewis as Superman, John Dimaggio as Lob, Sean Astin as Shazam (formerly known as Captain Marvel), and P.J. Byrne as Firestorm.

There have been no debut dates announced as of yet, but stay tuned to PopWrapped for more.
